I raised an enormous square shaped black flag, made of thin nylon. It would shake at the fresh wind of the daybreak. The sun was rising, but still invisible. The shadows of the rocks would get longer, the desert was lit up by a dazzling phosphorescent light. Barbara had passed the night sewing  the strips of nylon together to make the flag, and now she was there, naked, wearing a wig of curly black hair, saluting the flag like a soldier.
